Features & Benefits
Make Dead Space Come Alive!
Accessing gear positioned in the center of a Service Body can be challenging, especially if your Ute has been lifted. This not only reduces productivity but also raises the risk of strain injuries on the job.
The TrailCore Service Body solves this with its innovative drop-down floor design. The center section acts as a full-length drawer, allowing you to slide gear out from the middle and access it easily from the rear. This ensures you can make full use of the Service Body, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow on the job site.
Large door openings
Whether you're at the job site or the camp site, ease of unloading is key to getting stuff done and enjoying adventures.
The door sills are shaped to enable equipment to slide in and out smoothly without the need to lift it over the door frame. This speeds up access to your gear.
Additionally, the full-width rear door extends to the edge of the body, providing much greater access from the rear, especially when reaching for items stored on the central shelves.

Cutting edge design
Does your ute live up to the demands of your lifestyle?
Whether you're off-roading in the bush, cruising the motorway, or at the beach, the TrailCore Service Body delivers both style and performance.
Its refined design, which follows the contour of the ute body, is sure to turn heads. Plus, with no exposed rivets on the exterior, it's perfect for easy signwriting.

Infill Panels
Often a Service Body or tray and canopy combo will not come standard with infill panels, leaving areas of the underbody exposed.
This leaves the vehicle looking unfinished and out of shape.
The Utemaster TrailCore Service Body comes standard with infill panels to suit the contours of the ute it's going on. These are all model-specific and will cover up any exposed areas under the body, enhancing the overall style.
Rear radar integration
Most modern utes come with rear radar systems that assist drivers with features like blind spot warnings, cross-traffic alerts, and reverse braking.
When fitting a tray or body, these radars often get tacked on underneath which makes them vulnerable to damage offroad.
The TrailCores rear bumper is designed to securely house the radar system, keeping it protected from damage.
Lightweight but strong
With the amount of gear you need for work and adventure, it doesn't take much to max out your payload!
Keeping your weight down is not only important for driver safety, but it also reduces fuel consumption and improves offroad dynamics.
The Utemaster TrailCore Service Body is lightweight so you can take more gear with you. This has been achieved using the aluminium extrusion design which requires less material to achieve a strength rating that easily matches traditional Service Body designs.

Slam Lock
Tray canopies usually have two locks per door, making it time-consuming to access your gear, with six locks to manage.
The Utemaster TrailCore Service Body features a single slam-lock handle in the center, latching on both sides for easy access and security.
This allows you to open the body in one quick motion, even when carrying gear.
4 IN 1 Flooring System
#1 Open Floor
This creates a very flexible easy load height/storage area and is perfect for people who have varying roles. It allows for tall objects to be carried in the centre section, while tool cases and smaller parts can be carried in shelving units.
Design Registration: 431190, 431558
#2 Underfloor Compartment
This is perfect for storing large objects out of the way such as ladders without compromising the main service body storage area and having to mount the ladder to the roof. This area is accessible via a separate tailgate.
#3 Open Drawer
This works like a sliding platform which is perfect for storing large heavy objects up the front in between the shelving and easily getting them in and out of the body. It's also super practical for mounting an extra set of shelving which can be slid out the back for access on demand.
Design Registration: 431557
#4 Underfloor Drawer
This is the equivalent of a traditional Service Body with an Underbody Drawer. You get a flat floor and a closed drawer under the floor. The key differences are that the body doesn't get lifted to fit a drawer underneath and the underfloor drawer is now much longer.

The TrailCore Full-Time Canopy is only available through our certified fitting agents - we don't freight it for self-install. This ensures your canopy is fitted correctly and your 5-year warranty remains valid. We're continuing to grow our fitting network across New Zealand & Australia. We'll help you find an agent near your location.
-
The Full-Time Canopy is chassis-mounted rather than tub-mounted, which means it doesn't require a headboard. This saves cost and gives you significantly more internal storage space. It's a permanent setup designed for those who need maximum capacity every day. It is also referred to as a Service Body.

Like any metal body parked in direct sun, the exterior will warm up. That said, customers report excellent results with fridges - one noted: "I went camping on Fraser in summer for 7 days straight and my fridge was faultless. Not a warm beer in sight."
-
Yes. The interior is lined with heavy-duty plywood flooring, making it easy to bolt down fridge slides and other equipment. The body also features built-in T-Tracks throughout the aluminium extrusion frame, so you can mount a fridge slide or other accessories with ease.
-
Yes. Since the doors are made from aluminium, you can easily fix recovery track mounting pins directly to the door surface.
-
We recommend mounting the spare wheel inside the body. Most customers position it at the front of the drawer section or against the front wall.
-
The TrailCore extrusion frame features T-Track throughout the interior. You can use these to mount internal shelving units, eyelets, fridge slides, and a wide range of aftermarket accessories - all without drilling.
-
Yes. Every door features a full automotive bulb seal to prevent water ingress, and the body has built-in rain channels so water doesn't run into your gear when you open the doors. The underfloor drawer sits inside the main body, keeping it fully protected from dust and rain.
-
The TrailCore is available in black or white as standard. We can also colour-code it to match your cab colour.
-
The TrailCore Full-Time Canopy is backed by a 5-year warranty. If something isn't right, we'll make it right - no questions asked. Our #FASTFIX programme also prioritises any warranty issues to minimise your downtime.
-
The 4-in-1 system gives you four completely different base configurations without changing the body structure. You can choose from: an Open Floor (maximum flexibility for tall or bulky items), an Underfloor Compartment (stores ladders or long gear via a separate tailgate), an Open Drawer (a sliding platform for heavy items or extra shelving), or an Underfloor Drawer (equivalent to a traditional service body with underbody drawer, but longer and fully weather-protected).
-
Traditional service bodies have a flat floor with a drawer bolted underneath, which raises the body height and exposes the drawer to dust and water. The TrailCore follows the chassis shape in the centre and is raised on the sides for wheel travel. This keeps the overall height lower, protects the drawer inside the body, and makes it easier to reach gear in the centre - especially important as utes get taller.
-
The TrailCore is available for a wide range of popular ute models including Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Toyota LandCruiser, Isuzu D-Max, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, Volkswagen Amarok, Mazda BT-50, LDV T60, GWM Cannon, and more. Use the ute builder to confirm availability for your specific model and year.
-
Yes. Every TrailCore Service Body is designed and manufactured at Utemaster's New Zealand facility. It leaves the factory fully built and welded - no flat packs, no assembly required.
-
Yes. The aluminium extrusion frame features T-Track throughout, which means shelving units and accessories can be repositioned without any drilling or modification. This is a major advantage over traditional service bodies where shelving is fixed.
-
Absolutely - it's built for both. During the week it functions as a fully capable tradie service body with secure locking, shelving, and tool storage. On weekends, the same setup works for overlanding, camping, and 4WD trips. The weather sealing, roof rack compatibility, and fridge mounting options make it equally at home on a job site or a remote track.
-
The TrailCore uses a single slam-lock handle in the centre of each door that latches on both sides simultaneously. The lock mechanism is designed like a car door - it cannot be forced open from the outside. There are no exposed lock barrels or weak points for thieves to attack. We call it bandit proof.
-
Yes. Utemaster works with commercial fleets across New Zealand and Australia.
