The Utemaster TrailCore Tray is made differently. We believe your ute should never let you down.
It’s designed to work as hard as you do, thanks to the Strong Bones technology.
Note from Legal: 'Sure, your Utemaster tray could carry an elephant and a piano, but let's stick to the vehicle's legal and structural load limits, okay?'
We’ve listened to the challenges Ute owners face with trays and created a solution that delivers. Whether you’re on the job site or at the campsite, the TrailCore Tray is the backbone of your life.

Imagine this: Your Tray is loaded up with a heavy load of gear for the weekend, the weather is perfect, and your kids are laughing away. You come around a corner and bam - huge tree branch on the road. You’ve got a couple seconds to brake. Everyone’s wearing seatbelts, you jolt a bit, but in the end everyone’s all good.
Behind you, the Tray hasn’t moved. Seeing your family a little ruffled, but still safe, has no price tag.
At Utemaster we test all our gear, and we don’t stop until it’s as strong as we can possibly build it. For the moments when it really matters.
Static Testing: We load it up with heavy heavy loads to see what it can handle
Dynamic Testing: We simulate forces that would occur in open road speeds, and during an accident, including testing load restraint points, headboard, ladder racks etc so that you can have peace of mind
Fatigue Testing: We simulate corrugated road driving for an extensive period of time to ensure that it will last the distance on harsh terrain, while loaded up
The Utemaster TrailCore Tray is built for those who like to get stuff done their way. It’s all about giving you the tools you need to be self-sufficient and ready for anything, whether it’s work or adventure.
With its tough design and smart features, it’s made to keep up with your lifestyle—helping you handle whatever comes your way and do it with confidence.
It’s not just a tray; it’s the gear that’s got your back.
We all know that end-of-adventure feeling—everyone’s worn out, the gear’s everywhere, and it’s time to pack up. With a standard tray, you’d be wrestling with limited points and places to fix your gear, but with the Utemaster TrailCore Tray and MULE-TEK technology, it’s a whole different vibe.
Packing up is no longer a hassle. The TrailCore Tray, designed with pack-ups and pack-downs in mind, gives you total control. Whether you’re securing your gear or adapting to last-minute changes, the TrailCores modular system makes it quick, easy, and downright satisfying.
With the TrailCore Tray, you’re not just packed up—you’re ahead of the game.
Worried about what happens to your cab and passengers in an accident? The TrailCore Tray headboard not only looks tough, but it has been extensively tested to ensure it can withstand forces in the event of an accident (unlike a flimsy bolt together unit). And by adding a Mule-tek panel its also super practical for carrying gear.
Aren't Aluminium trays often flimsy and bend easily? The TrailCore Tray is an exception! Heavy Duty Extrusions form the Strong Bones of the Tray giving it a superior strength-weight ratio.
Fiddly anti-luce fasteners or over-centre latches on Tray sideboard can be frustrating to work with - the TrailCore Tray slam latch sideboard catches are quick and easy to use, and remove any externally protruding features giving a sleek and modern look.
Sometimes you want to carry a load without the sideboards on, but R clips can be fiddly to use and easy to lose causing your sideboards to fall off down the track. The TrailCore Tray Innovative hinge mechanism allows you to quickly remove the side board if needed, and then install them back on in a few seconds without any moving parts or fastners!
Small cases and parts are vulnerable to theft on the Tray, so secure storage is a must. The TrailCore boasts the largest lockable undertray drawer on the market, meaning you can store a huge amount of gear down low and out of the way! Better still, its long enough to take your side boards if you take them off and is compatible with central locking.
Dimensions:
Double Cab: 820mm Wide x 1700mm Long
Extra Cab: 820mm Wide x 2000mm Long
Single Cab: 820mm Wide x 1700mm Long
Strapping loads over your side boards can mean that the sideboards can get damaged and the load becomes loose. The TrailCore Tray comes standard with 6x internal recessed Heavy Duty tie down rings to give you extremely strong structural tie down points at a low angle. They also work well with a load that is lower than the height of your sideboards.
No corners have been cut on designing this Tray with the unmistakable Utemaser design stamp! It looks tough, well-balanced, with a good mix of chunky angles, smooth sides (no rivets or bolts) and combined with finesse and refinement!
Often a Tray will have areas of the underbody exposed either side of the mudguards. This leaves the vehicle looking unfinished and out of shape.
TheTrailCore Tray comes standard with infill panels to suit the contours of the ute it's going on. These are all model-specific and will cover up any exposed areas under the body, enhancing the overall style.
Most modern utes come standard with rear radar systems which provide driver assist technology such as blind spot warning, cross-traffic alerts and reverse braking.
These radars need to be transferred from the tub to the tray or body that you are fitting and often get tacked on underneath which makes them vulnerable to damage offroad.
The TrailCores rear bumper has inbuilt capability to house the rear radar system, reverse camera and reverse sensors, so they are not protruding from the body and are protected from damage offroad. This is included in the unit without any additional cost.
The TrailCore Tray is lightweight so you can take more gear with you without exceeding your payload. This has been achieved using the aluminium extrusion design which requires less material to achieve a strength rating that exceeds a lot of Aluminium Tray designs.
Keeping your weight down is not only important for driver safety, but it also reduces fuel consumption and improves offroad dynamics.
Market leading size and capacity, this is a must-have accessory for secure stoage of smaller gear. Its also long enough to store your side boards when removed.
Rating: 200kg
Dimensions:
Double Cab: 820mm Wide x 1700mm Long
Extra Cab: 820mm Wide x 2000mm Long
Single Cab: 820mm Wide x 1700mm Long
Central Locking upgrade to lock the Underbody Drawer from your vehicles remote. The drawer can be manually key locked as standard.
Underbody Toolboxes provide easy-to-access storage in the unused area behind the mudguards.
The Utemaster Underbody Toolboxes feature a tapered design that is fully integrated with the style of the body.
This gives you optimum ground clearance when offroad and they'll provide secure, dry storage for gear such as tie-down straps and recovery gear
The TrailCore Water Tank is so sleek, you'd hardly know it's there!
The Water Tank fits with the style of the Tray with its sloping back design for maximum ground clearance.
Made from Aluminium it won't wear out or fade over time as a typical plastic tank would.
The headboard MULE-TEK panel allows for fast and convenient load restraint for a wide range of accessories and standard fixing, including standard molle-panel attachments.
Rear Ladder Rack: The rear ladder rack provides a convenient support at the back of the tray for supporting long loads such as timber, pipe, kayaks etc and can easily be removed and adjusted height wise to align it with roof racks on the cab.
Headboard/ Rear Rack Tie Points: Tie points mounted to the rear rack and/or the headboard to stop loads from sliding off and provide an anchor point for tie-down straps.
The Cantilever Roof Rack is an optional heavy-duty rack that extends over the cab of your ute without requiring any direct mounting points to the cab.
The Cantilever Roof Rack has a dynamic load rating of 200kgs and a static load rating of 600kgs. The dynamic load rating refers to the amount of load you can safely carry at open road speeds, whereas static load rating refers to the amount of weight you can put on the rack when the Ute is parked (For example, a Roof Top Tent with people inside).
Whether it's a kayak, ladder or trade material - lifting gear onto a typical Roof Rack setup is difficult due to the height and weight of the object you are loading.
The Rear Ladder Roller is an optional accessory that attaches directly to the Utemaster Cantilever Roof Rack.
This makes it easier to slide heavy objects onto the rack from the rear of the vehicle.
The opening cover provides a convenient work-bench platform, and allows you to to open the cover up out of the way to access your gear underneath. It is also easily removable and can be adjusted to a new position along the extrusion mounting track.
These dividers allow you to organise your gear in the underbody drawer and prevent damage from things sliding back and forth while driving. Supplied as a pair they can mounted vertically as a divider or horizontally to form a load bar for mounting a drop saw etc
The drop in work bench is not mounted in place and can be stowed upside down with gear on top of it when not in use. When needed, simply flip it over and use as a work bench.
The Drawer vice kit works in conjunction with the dividers. The vice comes with a bracket that quickly attaches to the dividers when required, meaning you can store your vice completely out of the way when not needed.
LED Warning beacon fitted to the headboard of the Tray for jobsite safety
The spare wheel holder mounts into the solid extrusion uprights of the headboard to provide a solid mount in a convenient place for your spare wheel.
