Traditionally, ute canopies are constructed with fibreglass or ABS plastic. The Utemaster Centurion Canopy is constructed with Aluminium which gives it greater strength.
Because it is so strong, we can maximise access through full-width doors without compromising on the structural integrity of the canopy.
This product has been designed and manufactured in New Zealand at Utemaster's state of the art facility and focuses on three key features: Access, Strength & Security.
The side doors on the Aluminium Canopy provide up to 50% more access than a standard canopy. Your workforce will find this canopy amazing to work out of as they can easily load gear using the sides as well as the rear.
The patented slam locking system ensures that the Aluminium Canopy is easily locked. It can also be integrated with the vehicles central locking to operate at a click of the factory car key remote. The solid aluminium side and rear doors mean that thieves cannot see the equipment inside.
Fibreglass or ABS canopies can easily crack under stress.
Despite being lightweight, if engineered correctly aluminium can achieve a very high strength-to-weight ratio and withstand a significant amount of weight and stress without breaking.
This means you can carry much heavier loads than you ever could on a fibreglass or ABS canopy, without going over your Gross Vehicle Mass rating.
Because there is a large flat surface area on the sides and rear, and no glass the Aluminium Canopy is an ideal platform for signwriting to show off your company brand.
Powdercoating Black or White: The Aluminium Canopy comes standard in either Black or White powdercoat finish. The powder coating process is carried out in-house using our state of the art powder coating booth and provides a durable finish.

That's so frustrating! We know how many tradespeople and recreationists out there struggle with this. Not only does it damage your gear inside, but it also delays progress on a job site.
Check out this video of the Utemaster Aluminium Canopy being water-tested during the design/ development phase - as you can see the built-in rain channels send any water landing on the canopy away for the inside of your wellside.
The heavy-duty construction of the Centurion Canopy allows you to carry ladders, pipes and much more with the use of a Cantilever rack. The biggest advantage with a Cantilever rack is the fact that it is mounted independently to the roof of the cab of the ute, which means when driving off-road there is no risk of damage to either the cab or the canopy.

The Utemaster Canopy is now available to suit the 2021+ Toyota Hilux SR J-Deck.
Please note that the styling of the J-Deck is unique to this model of the vehicle and different to the Centurion Canopies that have been designed for other vehicle models. The features of the J-Deck Canopy are the same, please see the gallery below which shows the design differences.
Please note this model is not compatible with the cab guard which must be removed.

Q) Does having no windows in my Ute canopy fail my warrant of fitness or cause any WOF issues?
A) No issues at all, windows in a ute canopy are not a WOF requirement
Q) What is the Canopy load rated to?
A) With a Cantilever Roof Tray fitted you can carry up to 200kg's of gear. The Cantilever Roof Tray evenly distributes weight across the canopy for maximum strength.
Q) Does the Canopy work with the Toyota Hilux J-Deck SR?
