The TrailCore is a game-changer for chassis-mounted storage systems. The TrailCore Service Body is the most spacious, practical and modern Service Body ever.
The original Utemaster Service Body was released to the New Zealand market 15 years ago. Since then it's been tried and tested by hard-working Kiwis right across the country and in almost every application from forestry, mining, building sites, offroading, construction, camping and much more!
Like everything we do at Utemaster, we're always thinking about how we can do things better, and it's time to revolutionise the Service Body and take it to another level.
The TrailCore 4-in-1 flooring system is a ground-breaking advancement in the design of a Service Body. Rather than a box built on a flat floor, the TrailCore follows the shape of the chassis in the middle and is raised on the sides to allow for wheel travel.
But what was wrong with the traditional style everyone uses where the floor is flat? Why did we come up with such a bold innovation?
- Ergonomics. Ute's are getting taller and taller, and having the drop-down floor design the centre section makes it easier to lift loads in and out.
- Maximising Space. There is no dead space either under the floor or inside the body with the 4-in-1 system.
- Reducing the overall height. When an underbody drawer is added to a traditional Service Body it is either very slim or the whole body gets lifted higher. Because the 'underbody' drawer is now inside, it does not change the height of your body.
- Weather Protection. Because the drawer system is now inside the body, there is no risk of water or dust ingress.
Why is it called the 4-in-1 system? Because without changing the structure of the body, we give you 4 completely unique base configurations depending on what you need. Check the options below...
This creates a very flexible easy load height/storage area and is perfect for people who have varying roles. It allows for tall objects to be carried in the centre section, while tool cases and smaller parts can be carried in shelving units.

This is perfect for storing large objects out of the way such as ladders without compromising the main service body storage area and having to mount the ladder to the roof. This area is accessible via a seperate tailgate.
This works like a sliding platform which is perfect for storing large heavy objects up the front in between the shelving and easily getting them in and out of the body. It's also super practical for mounting an extra set of shelving which can be slid out the back for access on demand.

This is the equivalent of a traditional Service Body with an Underbody Drawer. You get a flat floor and a closed drawer under the floor. The key differences are that the body doesn't get lifted to fit a drawer underneath and the underfloor drawer is now much longer.
Reaching gear that's positioned down the centre of a Service Body is difficult. Especially if your Ute has been lifted - The higher Utes get, the higher the floor level gets.
This makes it harder to work out of and not only can this be unproductive, but it also increases the chance of strain injury on the job.
The TrailCore Service Body features a unique drop-down floor in the centre of the Body. This can be used as a full-length drawer so you can slide gear out from the centre section and access it from the back. The space can either include a shelving unit or be left open for loading large objects. The lower floor height makes it easier to lift heavy items and slide them to the front of the body.
This way you can utilise every part of the TrailCore Service Body and have a seamless workflow on the job site.
We've maximised the door openings on the TrailCore Service Body so you can get instant access to your gear.
The door sills are shaped to enable equipment to slide in and out without needing to lift up and over the door frame making it quicker to get what you need out of the body.
The TrailCore Service Body also features a full shape rear door which goes all the way out to the edge of the body. This greatly increases the accessibility from the rear, especially when reaching shelving in the centre of the body.

Enter the most practical Service Body on the market - it's so well designed you won't feel like you're driving a work hack. Is your Ute more than a work ute? The TrailCore will fit in perfectly at the job site, in the bush, on the motorway, at the beach and on a construction site!
The TrailCore Service Body looks as good as it performs, and it deserves a double take. It's been designed to match the shape of the body and better still, there are no exposed rivets on the outside surface which makes it a breeze to sign write, not to mention the sleek look.

The rear radar integration has evolved from traditional service bodies where they are a tack-on to the body. This new custom design integrates the rear radars into the bumper of the body, so you would hardly know that they are there.
The TrailCore Service Body is built using Heavy Duty Aluminium extrusions as the core frame to maximise the strength of the body. The extrusions also work as T-Tracks so there are easy drill-free mounting points inside the body which are used to mount the shelving and other accessories - and the best part is you can adjust your shelving to the position you require without any modification!

Losing your tools and equipment due to a break-in is not only lost money - this can also have an impact on the time and productivity of the job you are working on.
The TrailCore Service Body features an upgraded locking system which is constructed using aluminium and is fully integrated with the body.
The handle is designed to work like a car door where it will shear off before releasing the lock, meaning that there is no way for thieves to force the lock open.
Whether you're out on a dusty 4WD track or in the rain, a leak can damage tools or adventure gear.
This is not only costly, but it can also hinder your ability to get stuff done.
The TrailCore Service Body has minimal joints, no exposed rivets piercing the skin and full seals on all of the doors so your gear will be dry and free of dust.
The underfloor drawer is now inside the main body, so is not exposed to the elements.
The new TrailCore optional Water Tank is so sleek, you'd hardly know it's there!
The Water Tank fits with the style of the Service Body with its sloping back design for maximum ground clearance.
Made from Aluminium it won't wear out or fade over time as a typical plastic tank would.
Underbody Toolboxes provide easy-to-access storage in the unused area behind the mudguards.
The Utemaster Underbody Toolboxes feature a tapered design which is fully integrated with the style of the body. This gives you optimum ground clearance when offroad and they'll provide secure, dry storage for gear such as tie-down straps and recovery gear.
The height of a Service Body can make accessing gear on the roof of the vehicle difficult.
The TrailCore Rear Step hinges down from underneath the Service Body and provides safe, easy access to the roof of the vehicle. It can be folded away when off-road so that it doesn't hit the ground when climbing out of a steep 4WD rut and doesn't hit your shins or mess with the drawbar of a trailer.
The Cantilever Roof Rack is a heavy-duty rack which is 100% supported by the Body, not the cab of the ute. This means that it is not only very strong but when offroading there is no risk of damage to the vehicle from loads up top.
What makes the Cantilever Roof Rack so great?
- 6x Cross Bars
- Easy to secure a load safely (lots of tie points).
- Won't damage the cab when flex occurs.
- Rated to 200kg.
- Loads of accessories.
- Easy to mount lights and run electrics in the rack.
- Wide enough to fit a 1200mm wide sheet.
The TrailCore Service Body Shelving System is a modular design which offers heavy-duty organisation for your tools and equipment.
A major design improvement with the shelving is the fact that it is now completely adjustable, not only heightwise but it can also be repositioned front to back on the extrusion mounting system.
There are now 3 different Shelving positions:
1) Side Mount without a false floor, mounted on the flat edges at the side of the body. In this position only the half-depth (400mm) version is available.
2) Side Mount with a false floor, mounted to the floor which is flat from side to side. In this position both half-depth (400mm) and full-depth (800mm) versions are available.
3) Centre Mount with Centre Drawer, mounted to the floor of the centre drawer and accessible by sliding the drawer out. In this position both half-depth (2x 400mm back-to-back) and full-depth (800mm) versions are available.
When you're at the job site you'll find yourself opening and closing the drawers multiple times throughout the day and unless you have drawers that are easy to get into, the cost of time will add up!
The Utemaster Drawers feature a single-handed latch, meaning you can open the drawers while you're other hand is loaded. They are also adjustable up and down, as well as the whole unit is adjustable within its mounting track (like the shelving) so you can set up the units exactly how you need them.
The Utemaster TrailCore Service Body is lightweight so you can take more gear with you without exceeding your payload. This has been achieved using the aluminium extrusion design which requires less material to achieve a strength rating that easily matches traditional Service Body designs.
Keeping your weight down is not only important for driver safety, but it also reduces fuel consumption and improves offroad dynamics.
Lighting is easily added to the TrailCore Service Body and is made safe by concealed wiring and cables within the body, meaning they are not exposed and at risk of being damaged.
A range of standard lighting options for this product will be released in due course, stay tuned!
